CHAPTER 07 / 8 · Put it into practice
Manage a position with intention.
Distinguish Increase, Decrease, Collect fees and Move range, and verify settlement.
Good management starts with fresh information and a clear reason for acting. The learning environment never sends transactions. The LP App operates on real Ethereum mainnet assets through your wallet.

Increase adds liquidity to the existing range; it does not move the endpoints. Decrease removes part or all of the liquidity. Collect fees realizes available fees without intentionally changing your range. Move range changes the price interval through the supported transaction flow; review the old and new positions and any additional asset requirements. Each action still needs its own latest-state review.
Read the live position before acting
Confirm owner, market, token ID, range, principal and unclaimed fees. History can lag because it waits for finalized evidence; it is not the source for immediate transaction sizing. Pool prices can also differ from an external market. Check balance requirements, network, gas, allowances, slippage limits and expiry in the actual review.
TRY IT YOURSELF
Make the mechanics visible.
Choose the operation for each objective below. Then rehearse the checklist without connecting a wallet. Knowing when not to submit is part of operating well.
Add capital to the same range.
Confirm the required token mix at the latest pool price.

A proposal is not a settlement
A browser EOA or WalletConnect EOA signs its transaction. Safe LP management may involve proposal, signatures and a later execution, whether accessed through Safe Apps or supported Safe over WalletConnect. Check the chain receipt and refreshed position after execution. If an operation seems delayed, inspect Activity and Safe before retrying; a stale history entry does not prove failure.
Choose the intervention by the inventory you want next
Increase adds liquidity to the same NFT endpoints. If the range is already above or below the pool price, adding funds does not make it active; the required token mix follows its current state. Decrease reduces exposure without changing endpoints. Collect separates earned fees from the principal decision. Move replaces the price-range commitment and may require a different asset mix.
For example, after ETH rises above a sell range, principal is USDC. To quote a new range around the higher spot, you generally need ETH as well. Moving is not a cost-free way to keep the old risk profile: review where that ETH would come from and what the actual preview proposes.
Review at an event, not simply because a clock rang
Write an intervention rule before entry: a target inventory is reached, price exits for a specified period, the mandate changes, or policy no longer fits. At that event, compare keeping the position, reducing it, moving it or stopping. Estimate gas, turnover and any fees being crystallized.
Use the live position and fresh transaction preview for execution decisions. Use finalized history for reconciliation. If a wallet reports execution before the ledger catches up, inspect the receipt and current state before repeating the operation; a delayed historical panel is not an instruction to submit again.
CHECK YOUR UNDERSTANDING
What does this mean for you?
If Safe shows execution but history has not caught up, which evidence would you check before doing anything again?

From understanding to a real decision.
In the LP App, use Markets to understand the pool, Portfolio for live positions and operations, and Activity for pending or completed actions. Policy management is separate from LP actions and requires the relevant authority.
